TWICE Breaks Oricon Record For Most No. 1 Albums On Weekly Chart Of Any Foreign Female Artist.
Once again, TWICE has made Oricon history in Japan!
Last week, TWICE released their fourth Japanese best-of compilation album “#TWICE4.” After spending three consecutive days at No. 1 on Oricon’s daily album chart, “#TWICE4” has now debuted at No. 1 on Oricon’s weekly album chart as well.
TWICE has now become the first foreign female artist in history to top Oricon’s weekly album chart with eight different albums, breaking BoA‘s record of seven No. 1 albums.
Additionally, TWICE has now tied TVXQ‘s record for the foreign artist with the second-highest number of albums to hit No. 1 on Oricon’s weekly album chart. BTS, who has topped the chart with nine different albums, currently holds the record for the foreign artist with the most albums to have reached No. 1.
“#TWICE4” features Japanese and Korean versions of TWICE’s hit songs “I CAN’T STOP ME,” “CRY FOR ME,” “Alcohol-Free,” and “SCIENTIST.”
