
Jane Campion's Netflix film "Power of Dog" was nominated for the most prestigious film award in the U.S.
According to AP on the 8th (local time), "Power of Dog" was nominated in 12 categories, including Best Picture, Director, and Major Acting, among the 94th Oscar nominations announced by the American Academy of Film and Arts (AMPAS). Director Denny Bilbov's science fiction (SF) film "Dun" was nominated in 10 categories, followed by "Power of Dog."
Power of Dog is a psychological thriller set in a ranch in western Montana in the early 20th century. He received the Director Award at the Venice Film Festival. Director Campion will write a record of being the first woman to be nominated for an Oscar twice following the movie "Piano"
Meanwhile, "Power of Dog" and "Dun," "Belfast," "Coda," "Don't Look Up," "Drive My Car," "West Side Story," "Record Pizza," "King Richard," and "Nightmare Alli" were nominated for the award. This year's Oscar ceremony will be held at Dolby Theater in Los Angeles (LA) on the 27th of next month.
