Naver Webtoon unveiled the casting lineup for the OTT series "Money Game" today (28th). The lineup includes a large number of actors who have shown unique acting across movies, dramas, genres and characters, raising expectations.
Over time, prize money accumulates. The OTT series "Money Game" is an eight-part drama newly adapted based on two works, "Money Game" and "Pi Game." Eight participants dealt with repeated cooperation and antagonism in the extreme setting where the game ends when deaths come out in a space where social infrastructure is cut off.
Director Han Jae-rim of the film "Emergency Declaration," which is considered an expected film in 2022, was in charge of screenwriting and directing, while actors Ryu Joon-yeol, Lee Ji-eun, Park Jung-min, Park Hae-joon, and Bae Sung-woo confirmed the casting. The drama shows fierce head fights and emotional confrontations among participants for the prize money, heralding the birth of a well-made drama that adds tension and reality.
Ryu Joon-yeol will reunite with coach Han Jae-rim as the main character of "Money Game" after "The King." Lee Ji-eun, who is cast in Japan's famous director Hirokaz Koreeda's first Korean film "Broker," will also join. Park Jung-min, who showed an impressive performance in the Netflix series "Hell," also decided to join and completed the all-time casting. In addition, powerful actors such as Park Hae-joon, who shows off his unique acting by creating a syndrome with the drama "The World of the Married," and Bae Sung-woo, who shows an unrivaled presence in every appearance, are expected to show great performance.
Director Han Jae-rim of the movie "The King" will challenge the directing of the OTT series for the first time with "Money Game." It is scheduled to be cranked in the first half of 2022.
The original webtoons of the drama, "Pi Game" and "Money Game," were praised for capturing the harmful effects of capitalist society and human original desires through characters in the webtoon with sharp perspectives.
