The four main characters, including Lee Sun-bin, Han Sun-hwa, Jung Eun-ji, and Choi Si-won, also confirmed their appearance in Season 2.
The TVing original "Work Later, Drink Now," which was first released on October 22, is based on Mikkang's next webtoon "Work Later, Drink Nown," and is a full-fledged tactical drama depicting the daily lives of three women whose one-day-end drink is their belief. Lee Sun-bin (Ahn So-hee), Han Sun-hwa (Han Ji-yeon), and Jung Eun-ji (Gangbuk-gu) were absolute drinkers and three best friends, while Choi Si-won (Gangbuk-gu) showed pleasant charm as the only male and female.
The original TVing "Work Later, Drink Now" drew keen attention, with stories that anyone can relate to, such as real friendships, office workers' sorrows, and drinking scenes, and YouTube's official clip video views surpassing 60 million views in just a month and a half after its release.
In particular, it topped the weekly paid contribution figures among the original contents of all time, driving the popularity of Tving in the fourth quarter. Even after the release of the final episode, the number of users who enjoy content through binge viewing of the entire series has been maintained.
"We quickly prepared Season 2 at the same time as the drama ended," a TVing official said. "Season 2 will also return as a realistic drama that provides more comfort and healing like old drinking friends with unique chemistry and bouncy episodes."
Meanwhile, Tving was divided from CJ ENM in October last year and launched as an independent corporation, and has been focusing its capabilities on securing original content and upgrading technology. Tving, which has also cooperated with JTBC and Naver to strengthen its business, has established itself as a representative OTT in Korea, succeeding in original contents such as "Work Later, Drink Now," "Girls' High School Mystery Class," "Transferring Love," "Yumi's Cells" and "Idol Dictation Contest" for the first time in a year.
