[BBANGYA NEWS｜Joan Park] TXT(Tomorrow by Together) is a five-member boy group from Big Hit Entertainment. The group drew a lot of attention as a junior group of BTS from even before their debut. Their debut song 'Crown' hit more than 90 million YouTube views by February 7. TXT also proved themselves as a super rookie group by achieving the first place in major music shows such as Show Champion, M Countdown and The Show.
The debut album was a huge success worldwide. On the first day of the release, it was ranked No. 1 in Japan's YouTube trending clip and Japan Line Music, and in the iTunes charts in more than 40 countries including the United States. This is the highest ranking among Korean male group debut albums. The album also took the lead in the Billboard World album chart. In addition, their Japanese debut single ‘MAGIC HOUR’ released on January 15, 2020 ranked second in the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart and was featured in iTunes in 25 countries and regions around the world, including the United States, Russia, Brazil, Mexico and India. It ranked first in the 'Top Album' chart.
TXT received twelve major prizes at various awards at the end of the year, including the Grand Prize of the Year, the Genie Music Awards, the Asian Artist Awards and the Melon Music Awards, the Golden Disk, and the High One Seoul Music Awards. They've gone global with two months after their debut, followed by US promotions, hosting large showcases in six cities, including New York and Chicago, and meeting overseas fans.
