Lee Jung-jae plays the role of Ki Hoon, who participated in a life-threatening survival game at the edge of his life, leading the play.

Director Hwang Dong-hyuk said at the production presentation of "Squid Game," which was broadcast live online on the 15th, "I went to a cartoonist shop and watched survival cartoons." "I completed the script in 2009 while planning a Korean-style survival," he said.
