Chanyeol enters the recruitment training center this afternoon, finishes four weeks of basic military training, receives a self-deployment, and fulfills his military service as a soilder in the army.
Chanyeol is a member of SM Entertainment's boy group EXO, subgroups EXO-K, and EXO-SC, and is in charge of the main rapper and sub-vocalist in the group.
Chanyeol is the fifth EXO member to join military service. Earlier, D.O, Xiumin, Suho, and Chen have completed or are in the process of serving in the military. Chanyeol's discharge date is September 28, 2022.
Chanyeol does not disclose the location and time of enlistment in accordance with the will of him and his agency SM Entertainment that he wants to enlist quietly for reasons such as preventing the spread of the coronavirus infection (COVID 19). There will be no separate events.
