'Kill This Love' is the act's second music video to surpass 1 billion views, following 'DDU-DU-DDU-DU'. The only other girl band to achieve this is American group Fifth Harmony.
'Kill This Love' also marks the fifth Korean music video to achieve 1 billion views on YouTube. Alongside 'DDU-DU-DDU-DU', it joins BTS‘s 'DNA' as well as PSY‘s 'Gangnam Style' and 'Gentleman'.
BLACKPINK’s debut song 'BOOMBAYAH' is fast approaching the same milestone. The music video currently has 955 million views, gaining around 1 million views per day on average.
BLACKPINK dropped new song 'Ice Cream' on August 28 and will release their first studio album ‘The Album’ in September.
