[BBANGYA NEWS|Jisoo Lee] ‘Runaway’ off Kang Daniel’s upcoming album was reportedly rated “unsuitable for broadcasting” by Communications Policy Committee of Korean Broadcasting Station. Unless the artist doesn’t edit the lyrics and get the song rated “suitable for broadcasting”, any performance or music video of the song can’t be aired on KBS programs.

According to the committee, the song from Kang Daniel’s new album ‘Magenta’ was rated unsuitable for broadcasting for two reasons. One, the song has the name of a certain brand’s product(“Bentley”), and has a slang word(“Ppa-kku”) in it. Bentley is a luxurious car owned by Yumdda who featured rap on the song while ‘Ppa-kku’ is a slang word coined by him. Kand Daniel’s agency is yet to announce any official statement regarding the issue or whether they would submit edited version of the song to the committee again.
‘Magenta’ which scheduled to drop on August 3 is the second part of Kang Daniel’s ‘Color’ trilogy following ‘Cyan’ released in March. Kang Daniel will resume promotional activities with a title single ‘Who U Are’.
