The association is the largest music copyright association in Korea, and as of last month, about 47,000 composers and lyricists are registered as members.
Every year, among the associate members, 22 people in popular music and 3 people in non-pop music (pure, Korean traditional music, children's songs, and religion) are promoted to full members based on the highest copyright fee.
"We will work harder to protect the rights and interests of musicians," said the president of the association.
